As owner, President, and Head Veterinarian at Lynden Veterinary Hospital, John Berry, DVM, attends to the medical needs of both traditional household pets and exotic animals. With more than two decades of experience, Dr. Berry is the most seasoned provider of exotic animal care in Whatcom County, Washington. His patients over the years have included reptiles, ferrets, pigs, monkeys, lions, and birds of prey.
John Berry, DVM, provides a comprehensive range of treatments and services, including dental examinations and surgical procedures. Under his direction, Lynden Veterinary Hospital has emerged as one of the most technologically advanced animal care facilities in northwestern Washington. The hospital is equipped with both hot and cold lasers and contains the only digital radiograph system in the county.
Committed to advancing the field of veterinary medicine and promoting animal stewardship, Dr. Berry maintains memberships in a number of professional organizations. He belongs to the Washington State Veterinary Medical Association, the American Veterinary Medical Association, and the Association of Avian Veterinarians. A former Academic All-American linebacker for the University of Southern California (USC), he is also a member of the Trojan Football Alumni Club.
Dr. John Berry obtained a Bachelor's degree in Biological Sciences from USC and a Doctor of Veterinary Medicine from Purdue University. A married father of four, he devotes much of his free time to playing sports with his children and coaching youth teams. He also finds enjoyment in bicycling, contributing to church activities, and engaging with the Rotary Clubs of Mt. Baker and Bellingham.
